Matthew serves as the development manager for GTC Women and Children. Matthew grew up in Tucson, Arizona, USA and brings several years of account management, relationship building, and business development experience from the corporate world to non-profit.
In early 2016 God asked Matthew if he was willing to give up all he has and follow Him on a grand adventure. Matthew and his wife Charlene decided to give God their "YES!" and realize that life is not about income, but about impact. Matthew is excited to bring his dynamic and innovative business skills to GTC to help in advancing its mission through donor development.
Charlene Gartrell will be serving as an event coordinator for women and children’s ministries. She is also a native to Arizona and grew up in the Teen Challenge ministry. She has had a passion to see nations saved since she was young, participating in mission trips to Honduras, England, Belize, Haiti and more. Inspired by the first World Mission Summit, she gave a year in service as an intern to Casa Grande First Assembly and a six-month internship to Partnership International, a mission focused organization that partners with churches and schools to do short term missions. She has a heart for worship and served under BJ Putnam for 2 years, leading people into the presence of the Lord. For 8 years, she has worked in sales and is a licensed aesthetician. She has a heart to see women walk in their true Christ-given identity and to embrace the beauty that God has placed over them. Matthew and Charlene have one son, Oliver, and are excited for this great adventure that they are embarking on.
