MEET OUR TEAM
President and CEO
Jerry Nance has served as the President and CEO of Global Teen Challenge since 2007. His passion is to see Teen Challenge have an ever greater impact around the world in helping people find freedom from drug addiction.
Jerry Nance is one of those rare individuals who cross our path all too infrequently, yet our lives are powerfully impacted for having known them. He has all the impressive academic qualifications: a B.S. in Religious Studies from Southwestern College, his Masters in Counseling from Barry University, and a PhD in Philosophy, Leadership and Education with a specialization in Counseling from Barry University, but that's not who Jerry Nance is. The one word which best describes Jerry is "servant."
Whether as an associate pastor or the senior pastor of a local church, or Crusade Associate for David Wilkerson, the founder of Teen Challenge, Jerry has lived out Christ's example of servant leadership. His compassion for those who struggle with drug addiction compels him to develop multiple inner city outreaches and now to assist the leadership for centers in various countries around the world. He continues to serve on regional and national boards.
Beginning with his leadership as Executive Director of Teen Challenge of Florida in 1991, this ministry has grown to 22 centers in 6 states--Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina and Missouri, with residential capacity to care for over 1,200 boys, girls, men and women. He also serves as President of Teen Challenge Emerging Leaders College in Jesup, Georgia, a school dedicated to training Teen Challenge graduates and others interested in working with Teen Challenge.
Jerry and his wife Libby are proud to be the parents of three grown children and nine grandchildren.
